President Donald Trump is meet with Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House today.
During his trip to Washington, Zelensky is expected to sign a landmark economic agreement with the U.S.
It is aimed at financing the reconstruction of war-damaged Ukraine, a deal that would closely tie the two countries together for years to come.
The deal is seen as a step toward ending Ukraine’s three-year war with Russia, and references the importance of Ukraine’s future security.
However, it leaves that to a separate agreement to be discussed between the two leaders.
